The Influencer Search feature allows sales professionals to identify social media influencers who can impact your target market. Unlike People Search, which focuses on LinkedIn, Influencer Search covers platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
This guide explains how to run an Influencer Search, manage credits, create lists, filter micro-influencers, and enhance data for outreach.
What You’ll Need Before You Start
- An active Lead Generation Tool account
- Available credits (2 credits per record returned; optional 5 credits for data enrichment)
- Target platform, description, location, and follower limits
Step 1: Navigate to Influencer Search
- Log in to your dashboard.
- Go to Lead Search.
- Select Influencer Search.
Step 2: Enter Description / Keywords
- Use the Description field to match influencers’ self-written bios.
Example:
Handmade soap
- Avoid hashtags when entering keywords.
Step 3: Set Follower Limits
- Focus on micro-influencers for targeted outreach.
Example:
- Maximum followers: 3,000
This ensures you reach those more open to collaboration.
Step 4: Choose Location
- Select the geographic region.
Example:
- Continental United States
- Location is required for search.
Step 5: Create a New List
- Click Create New List.
Name your list clearly.
- Example: Handmade Soap Influencers
- Click Continue to run the search.
Step 6: Review Search Results
- Preview the returned influencers.
Example:
- 15 results initially, load more for additional entries
- Check names, social handles, and follower counts.
Step 7: Add Influencers to List
- Select individual influencers or Select All.
- Add them to your list.
- Review the list and confirm.
Step 8: Enhance Data (Optional)
- Use the Enhance Data feature to retrieve emails or additional insights.
- Enhancement deducts 5 additional credits per record.
- Decide which influencers to enrich based on outreach priorities.
Step 9: Manage List & Take Action
Within your list, you can:
- View influencer names, social handles, and follower counts
- Apply AI prompts for messaging
- Add custom labels
- Track when leads were created
- Export or integrate contacts for outreach
